Forum, anyone?

Do you think SLAMPP should have own forum?

Please do share your thoughts.

The main reason why I don’t setup a forum until now is because I don’t see enough demand for that. However, I realize that when a project is getting popular and well known to the users, somehow a forum must be set up as a part of support. The second reason is that I’m afraid I can’t monitor the forum and respond to all questions all the time. Meanwhile, monitoring and interaction are a must. Based on real experiences, if we look at what happens to a forum that is not being well administered, it will become a junk place and at the end that forum is closed. But, if there are some nice people who would like to help this out, perhaps we could consider this idea, setting up a forum.

Back to you, now. :)

If the community is still small and there are no moderators then maybe a frequently updated FAQ would do for now.

Only put up a forum if you can get someone else to moderate.

You are doing a great job with the code, we need you to stay focused.

  6. Thank you guys for all your comments. I’ve decided to open a mailing list instead of a forum. You can join it over here, http://groups.google.com/group/slampp

I’m expecting your participation on that group. :)
